WILLIAMSBURG, Virginia- The Marist baseball team played its final game of a three-game series against William & Mary, Sunday afternoon. The Red Foxes fell in seven innings 15-4 against the Tribe.
The Red Foxes moved to 0-7 overall on the 2025 season.
- In the bottom-half of the first inning, William & Mary took a 1-0 lead on a throwing error.
- The Red Foxes trailed 1-0 after one inning of play.
- William & Mary posted six more runs in the bottom-half of the second inning. The Red Foxes trailed 7-0 after two innings of play.
- The Tribe scored on five different hits in the inning.
- The Red Foxes clawed back in the top-half of the third inning with three runs.
- Noel Rivera hit an RBI single through the left side, which scored Luke Monico.
- Later in the inning, Jason Claiborn hit a two-RBI single for the Red Foxes. Lewis Rodriguez and Rivera scored on the hit.
- The Red Foxes trailed 7-3 after the top-half of the third inning.
- In the bottom of the third inning, William & Mary extended its lead with two runs. The Tribe once again added to its lead in the bottom-half of the fourth inning with three more runs. The Red Foxes trailed 12-3 after four innings of play.
- In the top-half of the sixth inning, Jason Claiborn scored on a fielder's choice and cut into the Tribe lead 12-4.
- The Red Foxes fell in seven innings 15-4 after two more runs from William & Mary in the bottom-half of the sixth inning.
- Four different Red Foxes recorded hits in the game.
