Box Score FLUSHING, New York – The Marist women's tennis team jumped back into action Friday night against its second Big East foe in a row, St. John's at the National Tennis Center in Flushing, New York. The Red Foxes dropped the match 6-1 and now stand at 1-2 overall on the season.

St. John's controled doubles play, winning at the first two spots 6-0 and 6-3, clinching the matches' opening point.

The Johnnies jumped out to a bigger lead, winning at first singles, 6-0, 6-3 and then fourth singles, 6-1, 6-1. St. John's kept rolling as they then won at third singles 6-4, 6-1 to clinch the overall match.

The second singles match between
Julia Gabay and St. John's Zofia Stanisz was a three-setter with St. John's ultimately prevailing, 6-3, 4-6, 10-4. St. John's also defaulted at the six singles spot, giving the Red Foxes'
Sophia Chavarria the victory.
