POUGHKEEPSIE, NEW YORK – Kate Lyn has announced her resignation as head coach of the Marist women's soccer program for personal reasons and to pursue her coaching endeavors elsewhere.
"I've decided to step down as the head coach of the Marist women's soccer team," Lyn said. "This change will give me a chance seek new professional opportunities."
Lyn led the program for the previous six seasons. She guided the Red Foxes to their first MAAC Championship in program history in 2011, and set the program record for wins in a season and claimed the MAAC Regular Season Title in 2012. The 2011 MAAC Coach of the Year, Lyn compiled an overall record of 56-55-10 and 33-19-6 in conference play. Lyn guided the program to five MAAC Championship appearances in her six seasons as head coach.
A national search for the next women's soccer head coach will begin immediately.
