PRINCETON, N.J. - Freshman David Marthy of the Marist men's track and field team set a personal best as he won his heat in the 800-meter run at the Larry Ellis Invitational, held at Princeton University, on Saturday.

Marthy's time of 1:54.66 set a personal best, and was good for a 24^th-place finish.

Senior Thomas Lipari (Greenvale, N.Y.) placed 33^rd in the 1,500-meter run in 4:00.86.
