POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - The Marist women's lacrosse team (5-2, 0-0 MAAC) cruised by Stetson (0-11, 0-0 A-Sun) in its first home game in over a month, 11-1. Senior Jamie Romano (Kings Park, N.Y.) led the Red Foxes with four goals. 

Sophomore Kara McHugh (Madison, Conn.) had two goals and one assist while junior Emily Leonard (Brookfield, Conn.) contributed two goals of her own. Freshman Natalie Bonaroti (Pittsburgh, Pa.) netted her first collegiate goal followed by sophomore Kaityln Brown (Port Washington, N.Y.) and Lexi Brannigan (Loudonville, N.Y.) with one each.

Freshman Hayley Burke (Massapequa, N.Y.) and junior Kirsten Viscount (Smithtown, N.Y.) dished out one assist each. Freshman goalkeeper Abigail Witczak (Mendham, N.J.) had a solid performance in goal, making five saves.

Marist couldn't be stopped as they rolled to an 11-0 lead with 11:10 remaining in the second half. Stetson scored its lone goal of the game at the 5:45 mark with an unassisted score by Maylis Broderick. 

The Red Foxes return to action on Wednesday, Mar. 26 as they host Binghamton. The game is slated to begin at 4 p.m. at Tenney Stadium. Admission is free and open to the public.
