POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – The Marist men's soccer team will be back in action Saturday evening when it hosts University of New Hampshire from the America East Conference. The Red Foxes (0-4) kick off against the Wildcats (3-1) at 7 p.m. at Tenney Stadium.

Last Time Out: The Red Foxes played the fourth match of their 2013 campaign on Wednesday, Sept. 11 against the Army Knights at West Point. In the first meeting between the two programs since 2011, Army earned a 2-0 victory. Though a two-goal deficit, the game proved much closer as the score stood at 0-0 heading into halftime. Senior goalkeeper Anthony Sokalski (London, Ontario) put forth a strong defensive effort in goal as he made six saves for Marist.
Previous Meeting: The two teams met last season on Aug. 31, as the Red Foxes traveled to Durham, N.H. Marist defeated the Wildcats, 2-0. Then freshman, Cesar Ceja (Port Chester, N.Y.) netted his first collegiate goal in the 63rd minute. Wes Finch (Newburgh, N.Y.), scored the second goal for Marist in the 88th minute. Sokalski recorded four saves in his first shutout as a Red Fox.
Scouting University of New Hampshire: The Wildcats finished last season with a 7-7-6 record and a 2-3-2 conference record. UNH fell by penalty kicks in the 2012 America East Championship. The Wildcats are 3-1 this season, seeing their only loss in the season opener at Bradley on a 1-0 decision. Lucas Goerigk, Ugochukwu Uche, and Christopher Wingate have each recorded one goal for UNH. Junior goalkeeper Travis Worra has recorded 12 saves this season with a save percentage of .857.
Following this matchup, the Red Foxes will be home for two straight contests: Sept. 17 against Hartford and Sept. 21 against Sacred Heart. Kickoff for both games is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Tenney Stadium.
