Krystian Witkowski earned his third consecutive NSCAA All-North Atlantic Region...

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - Senior midfielder Krystian Witkowski (Rochester, N.Y.) and junior forward Stephan Brossard (Port Washington, N.Y.) were recently selected to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-North Atlantic Region Teams. Witkowski was honored on the second team, while Brossard was a third team choice.

Witkowski collected his third consecutive All-Region award, following a spot on the third team as a sophomore; he capped his junior and senior seasons with second team honors. A three-time All-MAAC First Team award winner, he started all 20 of Marist's games and compiled 10 points on four goals and two assists.

Coming off a team-leading 20 point effort, Brossard earned his second consecutive All-Region Third Team honor. A two-time All-MAAC First Team member, the forward finished with team-highs of seven goals and six assists. On a national level, the junior finished 80th amongst Division 1 competitors with 20 points, as well as 80th with six assists and 91st with seven goals. As a team, Marist was 75th in the nation with 27 total goals.

Also of note amongst the final NCAA statistical rankings, grad student Steve Skonieczny (LaGrangeville, N.Y.) finished 52nd in Division 1 with 76 saves and backstopped a defense that posted the 39th-best shutout percentage of 40 percent.

Fifth-year head coach Matt Viggiano led the Red Foxes to an 8-7-5 record and a berth in the semifinals of the MAAC Tournament. Their final record marks the third consecutive season in which the team has finished at .500 or above.
