Larson Honored As MAAC Women’s Lacrosse Offensive Player Of The Week
EDISON, N.J. – Senior captain Tierney Larson (Fairfield, Conn.) has been named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) women’s lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday. This is Larson’s first conference player of the week honor this season and second of her career.
Larson had a standout week for the Red Foxes, helping lead her team to two more MAAC victories. In Marist’s 19-7 triumph over Niagara, Larson tallied eight points, including two goals and six assists. She converted on both of her shots on goal.
Marist picked up a 15-13 overtime win against Quinnipiac on Sunday, improving to 4-0 in conference play. Larson recorded five points, including three goals and two assists. Larson had the game-winning goal in the second overtime period to earn the Red Foxes the win.
Larson had a total of 13 points in two games, including five goals and eight assists.
The Red Foxes are 10-2 overall and 4-0 in MAAC play, already surpassing their win total from last season. Marist is also on a seven game winning streak, the longest streak in program history.
Marist hosts Manhattan in a conference match-up on Wednesday, April 16. First draw is scheduled for 4 p.m. at Tenney Stadium. Admission is free and open to the public.
