2016: IWLCA All-Region Northeast Second Team, MAAC Offensive Player of the Year, All-MAAC First Team, MAAC All-Tournament Team... Finished second highest in MAAC history with 88 points and 5.18 points per game... With 161 goals, was one shy of tying the program's all-time leader... Set career highs with eight goals and 11 points in the season opener vs. Sacred Heart on Feb. 15. Her eight goals tied for most in a single game in program history... Notched the game-winning goal in a 4-3 win over Binghamton on March 12... Scored eight goals and had seven assists in a 25-12 blowout of Manhattan on April 13. Her 15 points were the most in a single game in program history... Became the program's all-time assists leader early in the second half of a 13-2 win at Quinnipiac on April 16. Her 83rd assist moved her ahead of Lindsey Diener, who had held the old mark of 82 since 2008... 2015: All-MAAC First Team, MAAC Offensive Player of the Week (4/13), ECAC Offensive Player of the Week (4/14)... Finished seventh in the nation in points per game averaging 4.38... Led Marist in goals (45), assists (25) and points (70) and was third on the team with 16 draw controls... Fired a team-high 82 shots, 70 of which came on goal... Notched her 100th career point in a victory at Vermont on Feb. 28 and hit 150 vs. Siena on April 15... Tied her career-high with six assists at Iona on March 25... Scored a career-high six goals at Niagara on April 8... Racked up eight points and won a draw control at Monmouth on April 11... Netted her 100th career goal and tied a career-high with three draw controls in the Red Foxes' MAAC quarterfinal win at Siena on April 25.
2014: MAAC All-Tournament Team, All-MAAC First Team, MAAC Offensive Player of the Week (3/31)... Appeared and started in 17 games for the Red Foxes... Finished the season with a team-high 63 points... Tied for first on the team with 43 goals and finished second on the team with 20 assists... Attempted 79 shots with 62 on goal... Had a career-high five goals April 16 against Manhattan... Scored two game-winning goals: April 9 against Niagara and April 23 against Siena... Had a season-high six assists May 2 against Monmouth... Finished the season 7-for-15 on free position shots... Collected 13 ground balls, including a season-high three on February 28 against USC... 2013: MAAC Rookie of the Week (4/29)... Appeared in 18 games, scoring 14 goals during the season… Recorded two goals four different times: April 3 vs. Fairfield, April 17 vs. Iona, April 20 vs. Bucknell, and April 27 vs. Canisius… Finished second on the team in assists with 15… Had 31 shots and 24 were on goal.
Prior to Marist: Gionta was a three-sport athlete at Eastport South Manor High School. Captain of her lacrosse team during her senior season, Gionta earned All-County honors three times in her career following her sophomore, junior and senior years. She helped Eastport South Manor capture its first-ever Suffolk County Class B Championship in 2012. She participated in basketball for four years and volleyball for three years. Academically, Gionta was a four-year honor roll student and made the Principal's Honor Roll during her senior year. She was awarded the MSG Varsity Scholarship.
