25 Madeline Blais

2014-15 – Pre-season All-MAAC First Team, All-MAAC First Team, All-MAAC Tournament Team, Capital One CoSIDA Academic All-District, MAAC All-Academic Team - Appeared in and started in all 32 games this season, averaging 33.7 minutes per game. Finished with 523 points, averaging 16.3 points per game and finished third in the MAAC. Had 182 rebounds, averaging 5.7 rebounds per game to go along with 50 blocks, 48 assists and 36 steals. Blais earned her first career double-double against Monmouth on Jan. 10 with 20 points and 12 rebounds, finished the season with two double-doubles. Achieved a career high in points with 28 and made free-throws and free throw attempts against Rider on Feb. 28, with 11, and a career high in blocks with six against Canisius on Jan. 6. Blais made five three point field goals in one game, three times this season and finished the season 86-for-193 (.446) from behind the arc on the year, good for first in the MAAC and sixth in the nation. Blais also shot 111-for-122 from the free throw line to finish the season above 90 percent, first in the MAAC, and sixth in the nation. 

2013-14: All-MAAC Second Team, MAAC All-Academic Team – Appeared in 34 games and started 32, averaging 28.5 minutes per game. Led the team with 63 made three-pointers, a 48.1 percent three-point field goal average, and an 85.0 free-throw percentage. Finished second on the team with 12.9 points per game, second with a 53.8 field goal percentage, and fourth with 4.0 rebounds per game. Had 41 assists, 24 steals, and team second-best 19 blocks. Had a career-high 27 points on two occasions: Dec. 14 at Boston University and Jan. 17 at Niagara. Grabbed a career-high eight rebounds twice; Dec. 14 at Boston University and Feb. 1 at Monmouth. Had a career-high five assists on Feb. 14 vs. Quinnipiac and four steals on Dec. 6 at Quinnipiac. Made 10 field goals in back-to-back games on Dec. 14 at Boston University and Dec. 18 vs. Northeastern. Made five three-pointers twice; Dec. 14 at Boston University and Jan. 17 at Niagara. Made six free-throws five times and played a career-high 38 minutes on two occasions; Nov. 23 at Ohio State and Jan. 17 at Niagara. Was in the top-three in all of NCAA Division 1 women’s basketball for three-point field goal percentage for five straight weeks. 

2013-14 Game-by-Game

2012-13: Appeared in 32 games for the Red Foxes, averaging 7.8 minutes per game… Averaged 2.8 points per game and 1.2 rebounds per game… Shot .419 (31-74) from the field and .375 (15-40) from three-point range… Totaled six assists, three blocks and eight steals… Scored a career-high 13 points in the MAAC Quarterfinals vs. Manhattan on March 8… Grabbed a career-high seven rebounds and scored nine points on March 1 vs. Saint Peter’s… Hit two three-pointers and scored six points in back-to-back games – Nov. 22 vs. #14 Purdue and Nov. 23 vs. #2 UConn… Made first career block on Jan. 18 at Canisius while playing a career-high 20 minutes.

2012-2013 Game-by-Game

Prior to Marist: Blais was the top-ranked player out of the state of New Hampshire... She was a First Team All-NEPSAC selection after both her junior and senior seasons... A captain in her senior year, she was named her team's MVP when New Hampton went 23-2 as a team... As a junior, Blais averaged 18.9 points, 6.7 rebounds, 2.5 blocks per game and four assists... Academically, she was awarded a place in the cum laude society.
