POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - The Marist Athletics Department will host a Fan Appreciation Gathering on Thursday, Feb. 23 during the Red Foxes' home basketball doubleheader. The event will be held in the McCann Auxiliary Gym and will begin at the conclusion of the women's basketball game.

Fans are welcome to visit the gathering to enjoy free refreshments and games. The gathering will offer free beverages, cotton candy, popcorn and desserts for fans in attendance. All young Marist fans can take advantage of the inflatable bounce house and obstacle course that will be on hand. The event will also feature music, games and a chance to win a variety of prizes.

The Marist Athletics Department will give away white "Beat Siena" T-shirts to the first 1,000 fans that enter the fan gathering who present a ticket to this night's men's basketball game against the Saints. The Red Foxes will also look to White-Out McCann as all fans are encouraged to wear white to the game.

As an added incentive for fans to take part in the white-out for the men's game, the Marist Athletics Department will raffle off a pair of all-session tickets to the 2012 MAAC Basketball Championships in Springfield, Massachusetts. For a chance to win this prize, all fans wearing white will be given a free raffle ticket when visiting the MAAC Basketball Championship information table located at the entrance of McCann Arena. The winner of the raffle will be announced during the second half of the game.

The ESPN3-broadcast doubleheader will begin with the Marist women's basketball team taking on Iona at 6 p.m. This is the Red Foxes' last home game of the season, as the Marist Athletics Department will honor the program's five seniors prior to tip-off.  The senior day ceremony will start promptly at 5:35 p.m., as Kristine Best, Caroline Feeley, Brandy Gang, Emily Stallings and Corielle Yarde will be honored. The second game features the Marist men's program taking on rival Siena at 9 p.m.

Tickets for both games can be purchased by visiting the Marist Ticket Office between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
