Baseball Takes On Lafayette In Three-Game Set

Marist hosts Lafayette in a Saturday doubleheader

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- The Marist baseball team has a bye from Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) competition this weekend, and will take on Lafayette of the Patriot League in a unique three-game series.

The Leopards and Red Foxes will play a doubleheader in Poughkeepsie on Saturday, with game one slated for a 1 p.m. start time. The first game will be nine innings, followed by a seven-inning second game. The teams will play the final game of the series on Sunday in Lafayette, Pa., a nine-inning contest at 1 p.m.

The Red Fox Club will have its annual hot dog sale at Saturday's doubleheader.

Here are this weekend's pitching matchups:

Saturday (Game One): Lafayette - RHP John Gentile (1-9, 5.04); Marist - LHP Chad Gallagher (5-3, 4.30)

Saturday (Game Two): Lafayette - RHP Ethan Perro (1-5, 7.47); Marist - RHP Brett Houseal (2-5, 4.94)

Sunday: Marist - RHP Chris Bielak (1-2, 4.50); Lafayette - LHP Toby Schwartz (1-3, 3.44)
