Plimpton joins the Red Foxes during the 2012 season after a four year collegiate playing career.

After a decorated high school career in which she was named the 2007 Gatorade New York State Player of the Year and set the New York State Public School records for career perfect games, shutouts, strikeouts and strikeouts in a season, Plimpton joined the St. John's program for one season before playing out her final three years at Fordham University. While a member of the Rams she compiled a 40-16 record and recorded the third-most strikeouts and shutouts. She capped her career by leading Fordham to its first-ever Atlantic 10 title in 2011.

Prior to Marist, Plimpton served as an assistant coach at St. Lawrence University in Canton, N.Y. for the fall of 2011.

Plimpton received her degree from Fordham University in May of 2011 in Communications and Media Studies.
