EDISON, N.J. – Junior Andrea Wicks (East Northport, N.Y.) has been named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week. Wicks recorded two shutouts this week, moving Marist to 5-2 in conference play.
Wicks shutout both MAAC opponents this weekend, earning her fifth and sixth shutouts of the season. Wicks has recorded three consecutive shutouts against opponents Rider (5-0), Canisius (1-0), and Saint Peter’s (4-0). Wicks is just three shutouts away from breaking the individual and team program records of eight shutouts in a season.

Wicks earned her sixth shutout this season in Marist’s 4-0 win over Saint Peter’s on Saturday. Wicks recorded one save for the Red Foxes as Marist held Saint Peter’s to just five shots.
The Red Foxes face Yale tonight, Monday, Oct. 14, in its last non-conference game of the season. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Tenney Stadium. Admission is free and open to the public.
