EDISON, N.J. – Freshman attack J.D. Recor (Lancaster, N.Y.) was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Rookie of the Week for the second time this season. Recor had a standout game for Marist in its 13-8 win over Quinnipiac on Saturday, Mar. 22, assisting his team in earning their first conference win of the year.

Recor posted a career-high eight points, including four goals and four assists. He scored back-to-back goals to give Marist a 4-1 lead half way through the second quarter. Recor assisted all three of junior Colin Joka’s (Conshohocken, Pa.) goals, including the tie-breaker and two consecutive after to give Marist a 9-6 lead. He scored his third goal of the game after Joka’s hat trick, unassisted, then assisted sophomore Joseph Radin’s (Long Beach, N.Y.) goal six seconds later to give Marist a 11-6 lead in the fourth quarter.

The Red Foxes host Brown tomorrow, Tuesday, Mar. 25 in a non-conference match-up. The game is slated to begin at 7 p.m. at Tenney Stadium. Admission is free and open to the public.
