PRINCETON, N.J. -- Senior William Griffin (Columbia, Conn.) earned the first top-eight scoring finish for the Marist men's track & field team at the IC4A Championships in school history on Friday night. Griffin finished sixth in the 10,000-meter run with a time of 30:15.92 to earn All-East honors.
Griffin shaved 15 seconds off his second 5K, as he went out in 15:15, and closed in approximately 15 minutes. He closed strong with a final lap of 1:05.3.
Junior Arquimedes DelaCruz (Wantagh, N.Y.) earned Marist's highest finish in school history in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, as he took 11th in a time of 9:09.78.
Marist will continue at the IC4A Championships on Saturday, with the 3,200-meter relay team in action.
