POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - The Marist football and volleyball teams have reported back to campus for preseason camp. The teams were the first to arrive at Marist for the 2012-13 school year.

Volleyball arrived on campus Tuesday afternoon, while football arrived Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday morning. Physicals were held Wednesday morning, and the teams gathered for a mandatory NCAA meeting Wednesday afternoon.

The first official volleyball practice took place Wednesday evening. Football is holding on-field testing and drills Wednesday and Thursday, and will have its first official practice on Friday at 3:30 p.m. at North Field.

Volleyball opens its season in the Hostra Asics Invitational against Providence on Friday, Aug. 24. Football plays the first of its 11 games at Bryant on Saturday, Sept. 1.

The next Marist teams to report to campus are men's and women's soccer. Both are scheduled to arrive Thursday afternoon, with physicals and the NCAA meeting set for Friday morning.
