EDISON, New Jersey - For the fourth time this season, Marist men’s lacrosse redshirt junior Brian Corrigan was selected as the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week. The conference announced its weekly award winners April 17.

Corrigan made 12 saves on 27 shots faced in the cage when Marist took down Manhattan for its second straight MAAC win on April 15. He allowed just five goals in just over 51 minutes of play and scooped up four ground balls. He compiled a .706 save percentage and picked up his seventh victory of the season.

Marist will host Detroit Mercy in its penultimate game of the 2017 regular season. Opening faceoff is set for 1 p.m. April 22 in Tenney Stadium. The Red Foxes can clinch a berth in the MAAC Championships with a victory Saturday and a win by Canisius or Siena on Friday night.
