ALBANY, New York – Senior center Kentrall Brooks of the Marist men’s basketball team has been named to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference All-Academic Team. Brooks is a Criminal Justice major.

This is the second MAAC All-Academic Team selection in Brooks’ career. He also has been named to the MAAC Academic Honor Roll twice. Brooks was named to the NABC Honors Court last year, and was Marist’s nominee to the Allstate NABC Good Works Team this season.

Brooks served as a team captain this season, along with red-shirt senior guard Khallid Hart. On the court, he set career highs for points per game (5.1) and field-goal percentage (.556).

To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.
