POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist men’s basketball team (6-21 overall, 3-13 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) opens a stretch of three straight home games on Friday, when the Red Foxes face Iona (17-10, 10-6) at McCann Arena. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.

On the Air

Tonight’s game will be broadcast in the Hudson Valley on 1450 AM, 1370 AM and 98.5 FM, with Dean Darling on play-by-play and Ed Weir handling color analysis. The broadcast will also be available online at the Red Fox Network and iHeart Radio starting at 6:45 p.m. Video will be available for a subscription fee on the Red Fox Network.

Last Time Out

Marist was defeated at Saint Peter’s by a score of 71-46 on Tuesday, Feb. 14. Khallid Hart led the Red Foxes with 12 points, followed by Brian Parker with 10. Tobias Sjoberg led the Red Foxes with five rebounds in 13 minutes of the bench in his first game back after missing two due to illness.

The Opponent

Iona is coming off an 89-83 loss at Canisius in its last outing on Tuesday, Feb. 14. Four Gaels average in double figures in scoring, led by Jordan Washington at 16.9 points per game. At .398, Iona leads the MAAC in three-point percentage.

What’s Next

Marist host Canisius on Sunday, Feb. 19 in a game that will be broadcast statewide on Time Warner Cable SportsChannel (323). Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m.
