FAIRFIELD, Connecticut- The Marist women’s basketball team will conclude their two game road stand against Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference rival Fairfield on Thursday night. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. Audio of the game will be available on the Red Fox Network and video will be available on ESPN3 and the WatchESPN app.

LAST TIME OUT

The Marist women’s basketball team fell in a MAAC road game in Lawrenceville, New Jersey 65-46 on Tuesday night to the Rider Broncs.  With the loss, the Red Foxes fell to 11-15 overall and 8-8 in conference play.

SCOUTING FAIRFIELD

The Stags are currently on a five game winning streak with their most recent win against MAAC rival Saint Peter’s 56-39 on Tuesday night. Senior Kristin Miller scored in double figures for the fourth time out of the last five games scoring 15 on Tuesday. Miller nailed a team high six rebounds and has been shooting on average 79 percent from the floor in her past five games. Fairfield’s leading scorer was senior forward Kelsey Carey scoring 19 points on 7- for 15 shooting. Carey currently leads the team in points with 389 and in average points per game with 15.6. With the win on Tuesday, the Stags improved to 14-11 overall and 11-5 in conference play.

LAST TIME AGAINST THE STAGS

In the last matchup with Fairfield, the Red Foxes came out victorious defeating Fairfield 71-55 on December 30 at McCann Arena. Maura Fitzpatrick led all scorers with 24 points and shot 9-for-15 from the field. Freshmen Hannah Hand and junior Kendall Baab achieved career highs in scoring with 17 and 12 points, respectively.

SCOUTING MARIST

Last time out Lovisa Henningsdottir lead the Red Foxes in points with 11 and was 3-for-5 from the three point line. Henningsdottir also had three rebounds and a block. The Hand sisters each had scored nine points respectively. Rebekah Had also had seven rebounds and five assists.

ON THIS DATE

Feb. 16, 2003 - BUFFALO, New York - The Marist College women's basketball team managed to hang on for a 71-68 win over Canisius at the Koessler Center. The Red Foxes snapped a three-game losing streak and improved their record to 11-12, with a 7-7 record in MAAC play. Maureen Magarity led the Red Foxes with 18 points, on 8-9 shooting, and collected five rebounds and three steals.
