POUGHKEEPSIE, New York - The Marist men’s and women’s rowing teams have released their 2017 spring schedules, Thursday morning. The Red Foxes head down to Clemson, South Carolina for their annual Spring Break training trip on March 10th through the 18th.

The Red Foxes had successful trips to the Head of Housatonic, Head of the Charles, Head of the Fish, Fall Metro Invitational, and the Small Boat Challenge during the fall portion of their schedule.

The Marist women officially kick-off the 2017 season at the Iona Invitational on Saturday, April 1st while the men scrimmage at Rutgers. The men start up with official completion the following weekend at the Knecht Cup in Mercer Park, New Jersey along with the women.

On Saturday, April 15th the squads will split again as the women will head to Philadelphia, PA to take part in the Kerr Cup. The men will take on Holy Cross and Georgetown in Princeton, NJ.

The women will then compete in the Black Rock Cup in Buffalo, New York against Canisius, Jacksonville and Fairfield on Saturday, April 22nd. The men will compete locally the next day in the President’s Cup against Army West Point and RIT at Army West Point.

During the following weekend (Apr. 29), the men’s and women’s teams will convene and head to the Ithaca Invitational in Rome, NY against Hamilton, Ithaca and Colgate.

The season concludes at the MAAC Championships in Mercer Park, NJ for the women and at the ECAC’s in Worcester, MA for the men on Friday, May 12th. The NCAA Championships, again in Mercer Park, NJ will take place from Friday-Sunday May 26th-28th if the women earn the automatic qualifier. Qualification for the men could earn them a spot in the IRA’s, which will take place in Sacramento, CA on Fri-Sun June 2,3,4.
