POUGHKEEPSIE – The Marist football team has wrapped up a full week of practices as it prepares for its first scrimmage on Saturday morning at Tenney Stadium.
The Red Foxes opened preseason camp on Wednesday, Aug. 6, and held their first practice on Friday, Aug. 8. After having single-session practices for three straight days, Marist had its first double session on Monday, Aug. 11. The Red Foxes have alternated single sessions and double sessions throughout the week.
The team’s first scrimmage will take place on Saturday, Aug. 16 at Tenney Stadium. It is expected to last from approximately 9-10:30 a.m.
The Red Foxes will alternate double and single sessions from Sunday, Aug. 17 through Wednesday, Aug. 20, and will hold their second and final preseason scrimmage on Thursday, Aug. 21 at Tenney Stadium at 9 a.m.
The Red Foxes will open the 2014 season at Sacred Heart on Saturday, Aug. 30. Marist will play a program-record seven home games this season, starting with a contest against Bucknell on Saturday, Sept. 6. Single-game and season tickets are available for purchase on GoRedFoxes.com.
