EDISON, N.J. – Freshman attack J.D. Recor (Lancaster, N.Y.) has been named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Rookie of the Week, the conference announced Monday. This is Recor’s fourth rookie of the week honor this season, more than any other freshman in the MAAC. Recor’s performance against Canisius was instrumental in the Red Foxes clinching a spot in this weekend’s MAAC Tournament.

Recor notched a game-high six points as Marist topped Canisius 13-7 to secure the No. 2 seed for the MAAC Tournament. Recor recorded a hat trick, converting on three of four shots on goal. He also dished out three assists in the win for a total of 29 assists this season, breaking into the record books as 10th in program history.

Marist will face No. 3 seeded Detroit in the semi-finals of the MAAC Tournament on Thursday, May 1. Face-off is set for 7 p.m. at Tenney Stadium. Tickets available on maacsports.com
