BOSTON, Mass. – The Marist College men’s track team concluded its 2013-2014 season Saturday afternoon at the IC4A Championships, held at Boston University. The men’s distance medley relay team placed 18th overall in 10:28.92. Team members included freshman Nate Lungarini, freshman Matt Edwards, freshman Kyle Heubner and sophomore Mark Vuono.

Senior captain Nick Salek was a last-minute scratch due to illness. Lungarini filled in admirably at the last minute, running a strong 1,200-meter opening leg of 3:09.3. Edwards blasted the 400-meter leg in 50.1 seconds to keep the team in the race. Heubner split 1:59.4 in the 800-meter leg and Vuono anchored with a 4:29.7 in the 1,600-meter leg.

The track team will return to action when the outdoor season begins in three weeks at Monmouth University.
