POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - The Marist men's lacrosse team (2-3, 0-0 MAAC) fell 12-9 to Towson University (4-2, 0-0 CAA) tonight. Sophomore Joseph Radin (Long Beach, N.Y.) led the Red Foxes with three goals.

Marist posted an early lead, claiming the first goal 10 seconds into the matchup from freshman J.D. Recor (Lancaster, N.Y.), but the Tigers answered back just minutes later to tie it up.Towson went on to tally four more goals in the first quarter.

The Red Foxes posted two goals from sophomore Mike Begley (Brookeville, Md.) and junior Drew Nesmith (Montclair, N.J.) to start the second before the Tigers added another two to their already existing lead. Towson led 7-3 going into the half.

The Tigers dominated the third quarter with five goals, while Begley notched another goal for Marist.

In return, the Red Foxes led the fourth quarter, compiling five unanswered goals, but this was as close as Marist would get.

Also for the Red Foxes, both Recor and junior Colin Joka (Conshohocken, Pa.) claimed an assist each, while junior Ben Willett (Portsmouth, R.I.) cuased on turnover. Leading the faceoff, sophomore Dominc Montemurro (Kings Park, N.Y.) compiled 12 won, and four ground balls.

The Red Foxes hit the road next weekend to face off against MAAC foe Siena on Saturday, March 15 at 1 p.m.
