Marist To Host Iona; Contest To Be Carried By ESPN3

POUGHKEEPSIE - The Marist men's basketball team (11-16 overall, 8-9 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) will host Iona (18-8, 15-2) on Sunday at 2 p.m. at McCann Arena.

The game will mark the first time a Red Fox Network production will be carried on ESPN3. Dean Darling (play-by-play), Steve Eggink (color) and Elizabeth Sim (sideline) will have the call. Ed Weir (play-by-play) and Jaden Daly (color) will have the call on WKIP 1450 AM, the Red Fox Network and iHeartRadio starting with the pregame show at 1:45.

Marist enters the game having won five out of seven. The Red Foxes suffered a 58-57 loss in their last outing at Saint Peter's on Thursday. Khallid Hart led four Marist players in double digits with 15 points, and Jay Bowie had his second straight double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Iona enters the game having won 10 straight. The Gaels can clinch a share of the MAAC regular-season championship with a win Sunday. Guards A.J. English and Sean Armand both average 17.7 points per game, and both have hit over 70 three-pointers this season.

This is the second meeting between the teams this season. Iona prevailed in New Rochelle by a score of 83-74 on Dec. 4 in the first MAAC game played this season.

Following Sunday's game, Marist will play its final regular-season road game on Friday at Fairfield. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
