POUGHKEEPSIE - The Marist men's basketball team (11-15 overall, 8-8 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) will travel to Saint Peter's (9-16, 5-11) for a Thusday night contest. Tip-off is set for 8:30 p.m., and the contest will be carried on ESPN3.
Marist enters the contest having won five of its last six. The Red Foxes are coming off a double-overtime victory at Monmouth on Sunday by a score of 96-92. Three Red Foxes - Chavaughn Lewis (28), Khallid Hart (26) and Jay Bowie (24) - topped the 20-point mark.
On Monday, Hart was named MAAC Rookie of the Week for the sixth time this season, setting a program record. It's the highest total among first-year players in the conference this season.
This is the second meeting between the teams this season. Marist prevailed in the first contest by a score of 70-63 in Poughkeepsie on Jan. 20. Forward Marvin Dominique leads the Peacocks in both points (17.0) and rebounds (8.8) per game.
Dean Darling (play-by-play) and Ed Weir (color) will have the call on WKIP, the Red Fox Network and iHeartRadio beginning at 8:15.
