Else Leads Water Polo to Victory Over Siena

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Water Polo team claimed its first victory over the season, as the Red Foxes posted a 21-11 win over Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) rival Siena. Marist is 1-1 on the first day of competition at the Brown Invite.

Sophomore Brooke Else (Lansdale, Pa.) led Marist with three goals and four assists. Also leading for Marist, junior Hannah Levien (Davis, Calif.) posted three goals, three assists and one ejection drawn, while freshman Amanda Amorosa (Montreal, QC) tallied three goals. Junior Allison Hamby (Sacramento, Calif.) posted three goals and two assists, while junior Anna-Lena Hathaway (South Pasadena, Calif.) drew two ejections. Sophomore goalie Skyler Henry (San Diego, Calif.) added eight saves to the win.

The Red Foxes took advantage of three of their six six-on-five opportunities.

Marist gets back into action with a matchup against Brown at 11 a.m. on Sunday. The team finished out the Brown Invite with a game vs. in-state rival Hartwick at 2:15 p.m.
