POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- The Marist men's basketball team plays its second home game in three nights on Monday, when the Red Foxes (5-12 overall, 2-5 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) host Saint Peter's (7-9, 3-4). Tip-off at McCann Arena is set for 7 p.m.
Marist suffered a 66-56 home loss to Rider in its last outing on Saturday. Senior center Adam Kemp had his second double-double of the season with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Junior swingman Chavaughn Lewis scored a team-high 15, followed by red-shirt freshman guard Khallid Hart with 11. The Red Foxes set a season high by forcing 24 turnovers from the Broncs.
Saint Peter's has won its last three, having defeated Fairfield, Quinnipiac and Rider. Junior forward Marvin Dominique, a Fordham transfer, leads the Peacocks with 17.9 points and 9.0 rebounds per game. Junior guard Desi Washington is averaging 13.6 points per game.
This is the first meeting of the season between the teams. Marist has won five of the last seven contests played at McCann Arena.
