EDISON, N.J. – EDISON, N.J. - The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) named junior Kimberly Tobias (Sane Jose, Calif.) and sophomore Josh Dodway (Niskayuna, N.Y.) the Female and Male Divers of the Week for their performances against Southern Connecticut State last Saturday.
Tobias was a double-winner for the day on Saturday in Marist’s 189-101 victory for the women's team, claiming a score of 269.2 in the three-meter dive. For the one-meter dive, Tobias took a score of 279.45, claiming a personal best high score for her career.
In the men’s loss to Southern Connecticut State, the diving team dominated the one- and three-meter dives, claiming the top three spots in both events. For the Red Foxes, Dodway tallied the most points between both events, adding 13 points to the board for Marist. Dodway won the one-meter dive with a score of 286.65, while taking second place in the three-meter dive, just 1.50 points behind first (307.05).
The Red Foxes move on to host Boston College this Saturday, Jan. 18, in a non-conference meet. The meet will kick off at 1 p.m. at the McCann Natatorium.
