New York, N.Y. - The Marist men's track and field team claimed ninth place with 24 points at the NYC Gotham Cup.

For the Red Foxes, junior David Marthy (Latham, N.Y.) was the top finisher, taking second overall in 800-meter run in 1:56.23. Also for Marist, junior Mark Valentino (Smithtown, N.Y.) and freshman Zach Toner (Merrick, N.Y.) both ran personal best times in the 3,000-meter run. Valentine claimed 16th place in the event with a time of 8:58.34, while Toner finished directly behind in 8:58.55.
