Marist Travels To Siena, Hopes To Extend Winning Streak To Six
POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Seeking its sixth consecutive win, the Marist men's basketball team (5-9 overall, 2-2 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) returns to action Friday night at Siena (6-9, 2-2). Tip-off at the Times Union Center in Albany is set for 7 p.m., and will follow the preceding Niagara-Siena women's basketball game set for 5.
Friday's game can be seen on Time Warner Cable SportsChannel, which is Channel 413 (standard definition) or Channel 461 (high definition) in the Hudson Valley. Tip-off on Friday is scheduled for 7 p.m. The game will then be replayed on Saturday at 5 p.m. Robert Lee will provide play-by-play, and Tom Huerter will be handling color analysis.

Friday night's game marks the Red Foxes' first road game since Dec. 15, the first of the team's five consecutive wins. Marist's most recent victory was a 65-62 triumph over MAAC foe Canisius on Monday. Red-shirt freshman guard Khallid Hart had 19 points to go along with career highs of nine rebounds and six assists. Junior swingman Chavaughn Lewis and senior forward Jay Bowie added 19 and 18 points, respectively.
Siena is coming off a 62-47 win over Rider on Jan. 4. The Saints have won four of their last six. Rob Poole is averaging a team-high 15.5 points per game.
This is the 73rd all-time meeting between the schools, the highest total Marist has against any opponent. Siena leads the series, 48-24.
Following Friday's game, Marist will return to action on Sunday at MAAC foe Manhattan. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m.
