POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- The Marist men's basketball team will try to equal its largest winning streak in six years when it hosts Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) foe Canisius on Monday at McCann Arena. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.

The Red Foxes (4-9 overall, 1-2 MAAC) will be trying to win their fifth straight game. In its last outing on Thursday, Marist earned a 75-56 home win over Fairfield. The Red Foxes led wire-to-wire, and had four double-digit scorers, led by red-shirt freshman guard Khallid Hart with 15 points.

Marist is being led in scoring this season by junior swingman Chavaughn Lewis, who is averaging 16.5 points per game. Senior center Adam Kemp is averaging a team-best 7.3 rebounds per game.

Canisius (9-5, 3-0) earned a 67-63 conference win at Saint Peter's in its most recent game on Saturday. The Golden Griffins are led by point guard Billy Baron, who is averaging 21.3 points per game while shooting .424 from three-point range and .926 from the free-throw line. Baron was selected MAAC Preseason Player of the Year.

This will be the 38th all-time meeting between the schools, with Canisius holding a 22-15 advantage in the series.
