Men's Basketball Hosts Fairfield Thursday, Seeks Fourth Straight Win
POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- The Marist men's basketball team will be trying to win its fourth straight game on Thursday, when the Red Foxes return to conference play by hosting Fairfield at McCann Arena. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
In its last outing, Marist (3-9, 0-2 MAAC) defeated Penn by a score of 76-62 on Dec. 22. Four Red Foxes scored in double digits, led by red-shirt freshman guard Khallid Hart with 21. Senior center Adam Kemp had a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds to go along with five blocked shots. For his efforts, Hart was named MAAC Rookie of the Week on Dec. 23 for the second straight week.
Fairfield (3-9, 0-2 MAAC) is returning to action for the first time since Dec. 28, when the Stags posted 73-64 victory at Bucknell. Marcus Gilbert leads Fairfield in scoring with 14.8 points per game.
Thursday’s game will be the 50th meeting all-time between the schools, with Fairfield holding a 28-21 series advantage.

Following Thursday’s game, Marist will return to action on Monday against MAAC foe Canisius at McCann Arena. The contest will close out the Red Foxes’ four-game homestand, and is scheduled to tip off at 7 p.m.
