POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) honored three Marist athletes for their performances in the Red Foxes’ victories over Fairfield last weekend. Freshman Colleen Lampe (East Setauket, NY.) was named Women’s Swimmer of the Week, while junior Kimberly Tobias (San Jose, Calif.) and senior Sean Molloy (Slingerlands, N.Y.) were named Women’s and Men’s Divers of the Week.

Lampe led the Red Foxes, going 3-3 in individual events in Marist’s 173-124 win over Fairfield. She came in first place in the 800-meter freestyle (9:24.35), the 200-meter backstroke (2:25.68), and the 400-meter individual medley (5:10.02). In the 800-meter freestyle, Lampe beat her opponent by 5.22 seconds, while taking a 5.87 second lead over the second-place finish in the 200-meter breaststroke. Again, taking first over a Fairfield opponent, Lampe won the 400-meter IM in 6.13 seconds.

In the Red Foxes’ win over Fairfield, Marist dominated in the diving events as Tobias took first in the one-meter (247.95) and three-meter dives (254.77). Tobias has already qualified for the NCAA Zone Diving Championships and the ECAC Diving Championships after claiming first-place in six events in the three meets held this season. This is Tobias’ 14th time being named Women’s Diver of the Week by the MAAC in her career, and the second so far this season.

Molloy claimed 18 points in Marist’s 174-118 victory over Fairfield last weekend. He took first place in the three-meter dive (291.15) and one-meter dive (290.55). Molloy was also 8.5 points away from qualifying for the NCAA Zone Diving Championships. This is Molloy’s sixth time being recognized by the conference as Men’s Diver of the Week throughout his career.
