BUIES CREEK, N.C. – The Marist football team (6-3 overall, 5-1 Pioneer Football League) will travel to Campbell (2-7, 1-5) in a PFL contest on Saturday.  Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.

The first-place Red Foxes come into this game after a 42-35 victory over Jacksonville at home last Saturday.  Senior wide receiver Armani Martin (Pembroke Pines, Fla.) totaled six receptions for 162 receiving yards and three touchdowns, and senior quarterback Chuckie Looney (Ocala, Fla.) had five touchdown passes, and went 26-36 for 362 yards. For his efforts, Looney was named PFL Co-Offensive Player of the Week, marking the fourth time he was honored by the league this season. Senior running back Atiq Lucas had 106 yards on 18 carries.

Defensively, fifth-year senior defensive end Terrence Fede (Nyack, N.Y.) had two sacks, and is now tied with the program’s career record of 28.5.  Senior free safety Nick Kaszei (Brook Park, Ohio) led the Red Foxes defense with nine tackles.

Campbell defeated Stetson last Saturday, 19-18.  Senior quarterback Brian Hudson’s 11-yard go ahead touchdown secured the win with 1:07 remaining in the game.  This was Campbell’s first PFL win since Nov. 5, 2011 against Morehead State.

Saturday’s game will be broadcast live on Rock 93-3 FM. Ed Weir will have the call beginning at 12:45.

Marist will return home next weekend to play its last regular season game against Mercer. The Red Foxes are currently one of four teams with only one loss in league play. The PFL champion earns an automatic bid to the FCS playoffs this season.
