ALBANY, N.Y. – The Marist women’s cross country team earned first place in the Division I meet at Saturday’s UAlbany Invitational.

Among the four Division I schools participating, Marist’s 25 points topped second-place Vermont with 45. Following in third and fourth were conference foes Manhattan (75) and Siena (98).

The Red Foxes had a pair of top-four finishers in the race. Sophomore Kristen Traub (Wayne, N.J.) took third in 18:35.4 on the 3.2-mile course, and junior Michelle Gaye (Greenlawn, N.Y.) followed in fourth at 18:38.9.

Marist returns to action on Friday, Nov. 1 in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference championships, which will be held at Van Cortlandt Park in Riverdale, N.Y.
