Cross Country Runs Through Heat At Paul Short Run
BETHLEHEM, Pa. – On a day where runners struggled with very hot conditions, the Marist men’s and women’s cross country teams raced well at the Paul Short Run, hosted by Lehigh University.
The men’s team, racing in in the Brown 8K race, finished eighth out of 46 squads. The Red Foxes were led by senior Ryan Scrudato (Westfield, N.J.) who crossed the finish line in 25:59 to place 25th overall.
The Marist women ran in the Gold 6K, featuring several ranked programs, and finished 43rd. The Red Foxes were paced by junior Michelle Gaye (Greenlawn, N.Y.) who placed 125th in a time of 22:03.
Marist will next be in action on Saturday, Oct. 19. The women’s squad will compete at the UAlbany Invite while the men’s team will run at the Princeton Invitational.
