LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Marist football team suffered a 27-14 loss at Bucknell in a non-league game Saturday.

Bucknell scored on four of its first five drives to take a 24-7 halftime lead. The Bison started their first drive of the third quarter on the Marist two, but gained zero yards on three subsequent rushing plays and were held to a field goal. The Red Foxes made it a two-score game with 35 seconds left in the third period on a 20-yard touchdown pass from senior quarterback Chuckie Looney (Ocala, Fla.) to senior wide receiver Armani Martin (Pembroke Pines, Fla.). However, neither team was able to score in the final 15 minutes.

Looney threw touchdown passes, both to Martin, who has now caught all four of Looney's touchdown tosses this season. Looney finished 23-for-44 for 216 yards. Martin caught five passes for 56 yards. Senior linebacker Paul Sakowski (Chester, N.Y.) led the defense with nine tackles. Fifth-year senior defensive end Terrence Fede (Nyack, N.Y.) had six tackles, including two for a loss of yardage and a sack. Senior punter Jesse Signa (Huntington Beach, N.Y.) averaged 45.7 yards on six punts, including a 52-yard boot that landed out of bounds at the Bucknell one.

Bucknell outgained Marist, 353-255. Using a balanced attack, the Bison finished with 177 rushing yards and 176 passing yards.
