POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – The Red Fox Network caught up with Marist women’s basketball head coach Brian Giorgis before he took off to Team USA’s training camp in Colorado Springs.

In the video, Giorgis gives insight into his expectations as an assistant coach with Team USA at the 2013 World University Games in Kazan, Russia next month. Team USA will practice in Colorado from June 25-30 before departing for Russia on July 1. The team will continue to practice before its first game against Mali on July 8.

Giorgis is entering his 12th season as the Red Foxes’ head coach. He owns the fourth best winning percentage (.776) amongst active Division I coaches with a 277-80 record. He has guided Marist to nine Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Championships and five NCAA Tournament victories.
