POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – The Marist College Red Fox Club will host the fourth annual Red Fox Trot 5K on Saturday, Sept. 7, at 9:30 a.m. Advanced registration for Mid-Hudson Road Runners Club members and Marist faculty, staff and students is $17, while the cost for the general public is $20. Race day registrants will be accepted, and the cost is $25. CLICK HERE to download the registration flyer.

The proceeds of the race will benefit more than 550 student-athletes within the Marist Athletics Department.

An official 2013 Red Fox Trot 5K shirt will be provided to the first 300 registrants and a voucher for tickets to a 2013-14 Marist basketball game will be provided. In addition, awards will be given to the overall winners, and for various age group victors.

The race is completely contained within the Marist campus and starts and ends at Longview Park, site of Marist’s Historic Cornell Boathouse on the banks of the Hudson River. Designed by Director of Men’s & Women’s Cross Country/Track & Field Pete Colaizzo, the course also goes through the Route 9 pedestrian walkway and past the picturesque academic buildings on campus.

In 2012, the race featured 226 finishers led by Conor Shelley with a time of 15:53, while Kate Cushing was the top female finisher. Cushing crossed the finish line with a final time of 18:53.
