Marist Turns In Solid Performances at Wolfie Invitational

STONY BROOK, N.Y. – Junior Nicole Scicolone (Carle Place, N.Y.) finished second in the long jump with a distance of 5.16 meters (16 feet, 11.25 inches) to pace the Marist women’s track & field team at the Wolfie Invitational, hosted by Stony Brook on Saturday.

Freshman Nicki Nesi (Pelham, N.Y.) had a personal-best time of 11:36.19, which earned her third place in the steeplechase.

Senior co-captain Rebecca Denise (East Patchogue, N.Y.) set a personal best in the 3,000 meters, continuing a streak of achieving a personal best in every race this season. Denise finished sixth in the 3,000-meter run in 10:28.70. Sophomore Erin Thompson (Washington Township, N.J.) also set a personal best in the same race by finishing fourth in 10:25.31.

Senior co-captain Katie Messina (Queensbury, N.Y.) also had a personal best of 4:57.17 in the 1,500, which gave her an eighth-place finish.
