Kimberly Tobias Leads Red Foxes In Day 2 Competition At NCAA Zone A Diving Championships
BLACKSBURG, Va. - A quartet of Marist divers completed their final day of competition at the NCAA Zone A Diving Championships at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center.
In 1-meter women's action, sophomore Kimberly Tobias (San Jose, Calif.) and senior Chelaine Eliazar (Honolulu, Hawaii) dove against 43 Division 1 athletes from across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic region. Tobias finished in 30th with a 214.00 point total, while Eliazar was 40th at 191.60.
In 3-meter men's action, sophomore Jacob Baker (Shavertown, Pa.) took 35th place with a 230.30 point total. His teammate Sean Molloy (Slingerlands, N.Y.) finished close behind in 36th with a 225.10 total; they were competing against 42 other student-athletes.
Of note, Marist is the only college participating in the event, as all other schools are universities.
With today's result, the 2012-13 season is now complete for the Marist Swimming & Diving program.
