POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - The Marist water polo team won two games on Saturday, defeating Canadian club team DDO 8-4 and Notre Dame of Ohio 14-4 on the first day of the Marist Invite at the McCann Natatorium.

In the Red Foxes (6-4) first game against DDO, Hannah Levien (Davis, Calif.) had a hat trick and Shelby Rinker (Lansdale, Pa.) had a goal and three assists. Ellie Hoffman (Pasadena, Calif.) also had two goals and Brooke Else (Lansdale, Pa.) added another. Freshman Skyler Henry (San Diego, Calif.) made 10 saves in her first career start.

Against Notre Dame in the evening game, Marist scored the first nine goals, jumping out to a 10-1 lead at halftime. Six different Red Foxes scored two goals. Levien had her second multi-goal game of the day and Rinker, Anna-Lena Hathaway (Pasadena, Calif.) Natalie Stringer (San Diego, Calif.), Jessica Hamby (Sacramento, Calif.) and Katie Knutson (Oakland, Calif.) all also found the back of the net twice. Knutson also added an assist. Elise Humphries (Anaheim, Calif.) made nine saves in goal.

Marist wraps up weekend play with another matchup against DDO on Sunday morning at 10:30 a.m.
