POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - The Marist women's basketball team sent off its four seniors in style, rolling to a 79-50 win over Saint Peter's Friday night on Senior Night in McCann Arena in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) game.

Kristina Danella (Manalapan, N.J.) became the first Marist player to record a double-double this season with a game-high 20 points and 10 rebounds. Elizabeth Beynnon (Burlington, Vt.) had 16 points and a game-high five points while also collecting six rebounds. Sydney Coffey (New Hope, Minn.) and Casey Dulin (Milford, Conn.) were both also in double figures with 12 and 11 points and Dulin added eight rebounds. Madeline Blais (Exeter, N.H.) set new career-highs with nine points and seven rebounds.

The first half was close for the first 15 minutes as the Red Foxes (22-6, 17-0 MAAC) could not build a lead bigger than five points. Two Saint Peter's (2-26, 2-15 MAAC) free throws cut the lead to one, 26-25, with 5:38 remaining in the first half.

An 11-2 run, however, put Marist up by 10 at the midway point, 37-27. Beynnon scored the first three points of the run on a 1-2 effort from the free throw line and a baseline jumper on an assist from Leanne Ockenden (Syracuse, N.Y.). Following a Peacocks' basket, Danella converted a three-point play and, on the next trip down the court, hit another pair of free throw. Coffey closed out the run with a deep three-pointer, on another assist from Ockenden, with just seven seconds remaining in the half.

Marist opened the second half on an 8-2 run, on three-pointers by Danella and Dulin wrapped around two more free throws by Danella, to bring the score to 45-29 with 16:37 left to play.

Saint Peter's would score six straight points to pull within 10 at 45-35, but the Red Foxes tightened the defense and went on a 29-7 run over a 10:36 span to open a 32 point lead at 74-42 with 3:50 remaining. In the run, Dulin scored six consecutive points, Danella also had six points, and Coffey added six more on a three-pointer and a three-point play. Natalie Gomez (Andover, Mass.) scored all five of her points on a jumper and three-pointer while Beynnon added four points and Blais made a basket.

In the final minutes, Blais hit another deep three-pointer to set her career-high and senior walk-on Suzzett Garnett (The Bronx, N.Y.), who made her first career start, hit a layup, on an assist from fellow walk-on Maggie Gallagher (Stormville, N.Y.).

Marist closes out its regular season on Sunday with a 2 p.m. game at Fairfield. That game can be heard live on The Red Fox Network as well as on the radio on Rock 93.3 FM and iHeartRadio. A victory on Sunday would give the Red Foxes their third 18-0 MAAC season in the last six years.
