BOSTON, Mass. - The Marist men's tennis team concluded play at the Harvard Winter Invite Sunday morning, coming away with another singles' victory to bring the weekend total up to 11 wins. The Red Foxes were competing against opponents from Harvard and Boston College.
Joseph Dube (Livonia, Mich.) rolled to a 6-2, 6-1 victory over his adversary from Boston College, completing a perfect 3-0 singles' weekend for the sophomore.
Dalen Klassen (St. Louis, Mo.) fell in straight sets to his opponent from Harvard, but forced him to a tiebreaker in each set. Will Reznek (Toronto, Canada) also had a good match, taking his opponent to three sets before coming up just short.
"If our guys continue to play the way they did this weekend, we are in for a very good season," said Marist Head Coach Tim Smith.
The Red Foxes return to action next week at the Army Challenge in West Point. They will take on the host Black Knights as well as UNC-Greensboro and Gardner Webb.
