POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - The Marist Athletics Department has released the 2013 schedule for the baseball team. The Red Foxes will play 54 games in the regular season, including one against a 2012 College World Series participant.

The Red Foxes will play their first 18 games on the road. The team will open with three games in the Country Inn & Suites Invitational, hosted by Elon. This non-conference portion of the schedule includes a a March 12 doubleheader at Maryland, which is coached John Szefc, who led the Red Foxes to four NCAA Tournament appearances in his tenure.

Marist's home schedule opens with a three-game Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) series against Niagara on March 23-24. The Red Foxes will also host Fairfield, Iona and Rider in conference play, and will have three-game road series against Siena, Manhattan, Canisius and Saint Peter's.

On Tuesday, April 2, Marist will welcome2012 College World Series participant to McCann Field. The Red Foxes will have 17 home games this season, including a seven-game homestand in mid-April.

The regular season will conclude with a three-game home series against Rider on May 18-19. The top four teams in the regular-season standings will advance to the 2013 MAAC Baseball Championships, which will be held at Waterfront Park in Trenton, N.J., on May 23-26.
