Red Foxes & Bison, Nov. 22, 2011 ...
In their home opener at the newly-renovated McCann Arena, the Red Foxes lost a tight matchup with Bucknell 74-68.

Coming out of halftime down 12, the Red Foxes were in a see-saw battle with the Bison as their deficit bubbled to as much as 15, but as low as 10 over the first five minutes of play.

One aspect of the Red Foxes' game that was working effectively to start the half was their three-point shooting. From the 18:21 mark through 11:57, each and every one of their field goal attempts were from distance. During this span they shot six of 10 and eventually cut the lead down to eight points.

A Manny Thomas trifecta at 4:34 brought the game to six at 67-61. Each team scored seven points a piece down the stretch, as Bucknell held on for a 74-68 victory.

For the game, Marist was outshot by Bucknell 53.2 percent (33-62) to 46.0 (23-50), but held an advantage in three point field goal percentage at 44.0 (11-25) to 33.3 (4-12).

Adam Kemp led three Red Foxes in double figures with 16 total points. The starting backcourt of Isaiah Morton and Devin Price contributed 14 and 11 points, respectively. Kemp also corralled a team-high six rebounds.

Last Time Out ... Dec. 16 vs. Maine ...
A week away from competition due to final exams was little more than an afterthought after Marist scored a season-high in points in its 94-69 home triumph over Maine in a non-conference game on Sunday at McCann Arena.

With the game at a six-point margin at 37-31 with less than three minutes remaining in the first half. The final 2:47 of the period would be all Marist, as the team closed with an 11-0 run. After a Devin Price 3-pointer at 2:37, the final eight points were all netted by Dorvell Carter.

Starting with a pair of made FTs by Lewis, the Red Foxes would outscore the Black Bears 39-19 over the final 13 minutes to turn a 5-point game into a 25-point blowout. An 11-2 run from 7:20 to 5:04 broke open the game as Marist increased its lead from 12 at 70-58 to 21 at 81-60. Seven of the 11 points in this span were registered at the foul line.

94 points is the third-highest offensive output by a Red Foxes team over the past 10 seasons; only a 95-point showing versus Rider on Dec. 4, 2011 and a 97-point performance at La Salle on Nov. 30, 2002 rank higher.
