WEST POINT, N.Y. - After nine days off from their final game of the Old Spice Classic, the Marist men's basketball team fell victim to a hot shooting Army team on the road by a score of 91-57. Senior Devin Price (Inglewood, Calif.) led the Red Foxes (2-5) with 19 points as he continued his quest for 1,000 career points.

The game began with a solid Marist feel to it as the visitors twice held six point leads over the initial seven and a half minutes of play. The entire starting lineup provided offense during this span as all five players registered points. Sophomore point guard Isaiah Morton (Vineland, N.J.) spearheaded the opening run of offense with five of the team's first 10 points.

Up 14-9 at the 13:56 mark, the Red Foxes were unable to answer a 14-1 run that would dart the Black Knights into the lead, a lead that they would never give for the remainder of the game.

Army would close the first half shooting 53.1 percent (17-32) from the field and 56.3 percent (9-16) from three point range to take a 45-25 lead into the locker room. Marist shot 37.0 percent (10-27) from the field and 18.2 percent (2-11) from distance.

In the second half, the Black Knights continued finding success from distance as they would add six more treys at a 42.9 percent (6-14) clip.

From the 10:06 mark to 7:40, the Red Foxes put together an 11-2 run in their most complete span of play in the second period. On the strength of the three guard lineup of Price, Morton and T.J. Curry (Brooklyn, N.Y.), Marist would hit a pair of three pointers, as well as deep jumper, all of which came off of drives and kick-out assists.

For the game, the Black Knights shot .506 (34-for-67) from the field and .500 (15-for-30) from three-point range. Army also held a 53-24 rebounding advantage. Marist shot just .333 (19-for-57) from the field and .250 (8-for-32) from three-point range.

Individually, Price led a trio of Red Foxes in double figures with 19 points; Morton connected for 10 points, as did sophomore Manny Thomas (Brooklyn, N.Y.). In eight minutes, off of the bench, senior Dorvell Carter (Bronx, N.Y.) collected a team-high five rebounds.

Price now has scored 995 career points.

The Red Foxes will return to action on Friday, when they host Manhattan in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference opener for both teams. Tip-off at McCann Arena is set for 7 p.m. Tickets are on sale at GoRedFoxes.com. For further information, contact the Marist Ticket Office (845) 575-3553.
